Modern Retreat Garden

We created a concept of a 'Modern Retreat Garden'. Celebrating the historical elements in the space and juxtaposing these with modern items, we have created a sophisticated and tranquil garden. 

Nestled behind the bustling high street of South Kensington, our client wanted a relaxing garden for the entire family to enjoy.

A brand new terrace creates plenty of space - and under it, we made another room for the children to play in. More seating around the garden makes it the perfect place to host lots of people. We also installed a water feature with a mirror behind to complete the scheme.

The space was dark and dingy and rarely used by the family.

The details

With extra wide stairs surrounded by greenery, the entrance to the garden is now welcoming and light. We created a bespoke storage bench with cushions, sourced reclaimed bricks to match existing and we paired historical elements with modern tiling and glass.
